There are some magnificent venues in Hampshire that allow either a marquee to be sited in their grounds, or who have a marquee already on site that can be hired for Hampshire weddings, parties or corporate hospitality events. The following list shows the ones we have identified, and we will update this as others come to our attention.
Osborne House and Gardens, York Avenue, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO32 6JY.
Built in 1845 as a country retreat for Queen Victoria & Prince Albert, this extensive estate and exquisitely furnished house has terraced gardens, panoramic views of the Solent and its own private beach. Two marquee sites, one for up to 200 on the private beach, and one for up to 2,500 on Durbar Lawn. Marquees to be provided by preferred suppliers and preference is for traditional "Queen Victoria style" canvas marquees. No other Hampshire marquee venue has the cachet of Queen Victoria's palace-by-the-sea.
Oakley Hall. Rectory Road, Oakley, Basingstoke, Hampshire. RG23 7EL
This Georgian Manor was built in 1795 and is set in 315 acres of stunning secluded grounds, and it inspired authors Jane Austen and Henry Fielding. With 9 function rooms and 6 licensed for Civil ceremonies (up to 100 people), one permanent marquee and sites in grounds for other large marquees, it offers a perfect setting for weddings, conferences, team building, corporate events, product launches and film shoots. Cams Hall. Cams Hill, Fareham, Hampshire PO16 8AB
This 300 year old, Grade 2 listed Georgian mansion with Portland Stone frontage is sited amid parkland overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. Now a business centre in the midst of a thriving hi-tech business park, it offers excellent facilities for business conferences, function rooms, Civil Ceremonies and a site for large marquees (up to 240 seated), with free choice of marquee supplier and caterer.
Stansted Park. Rowlands Castle, Hampshire, PO9 6DX
Situated within 1800 acres of ancient South Downs forest on the Hampshire and Sussex borders overlooking the coast, this Edwardian mansion has ample space for marquees of any size, and is a great marquee venue. They have preferred marquee hire suppliers, perform civil cermonies in the Music Room for up to 80 guests.
